At the beginning of September, Dr Cian Ó Concubhair, School of Law and Criminology, attended and presented at the European Society of Criminology's annual EUROCRIM conference in Bucharest.
Alongside some fascinating discussions with his peers on the Policing Working Group, Cian presented a paper on the 'Police partnerships' panel in the main conference.
Cian’s paper explores some affinities between police researchers (particularly ethnographers) and journalists, and concludes by reflecting on what we might learn from the best journalistic practices.
