Transition Year students recently took part in banner making and orange ribbons making on the MU Kilkenny campus to mark International Day Against Racism (Mar21st) and European Week Against Racism (Mar18th to Mar 25th), when people around the globe show solidarity with individuals and group who are discriminated against on the basis of their ethnicity and/or colour.
The wearing of the orange ribbon signifies the celebration of cultural diversity.
The event was organised by Stephanie McDermott who is the Sociology subject leader on the Kilkenny campus.
