Maynooth Law Lecturer Discusses the Marriage Bill on Local and National Radio

Dr Fergus Ryan of Maynooth University Department of Law was interviewed on Newstalk FM, Midlands FM and KFM (Kildare) on Wednesday and Thursday 16 and 17 September 2015, discussing the provisions of the Marriage Bill 2015 and the Supreme Court appeal concerning the outcome of the Marriage referendum.

The interviews were with Ivan Yates on Newstalk Breakfast, Will Faulkner on Midlands 103 and Clem Ryan of Kildare Today on KFM. Dr Ryan highlighted the implications of the 2015 Bill for civil partnerships, the religious exemption provisions of the Bill, and the prospects of the Bill passing swiftly. He also discussed the outcome of two Supreme Court cases challenging the outcome of the Marriage Referendum.
