Summer Forum' organised by Eurofound

Prof Michael Doherty participated in the pilot 'Summer Forum' organised by Eurofound– a tripartite exchange seminar aiming to improve the capacity of social partners and governments to engage effectively in social dialogue. The Forum (held in Dublin on October 19-21 2022) addressed national level social partners and, in particular, early-career professionals in trade union and employer organisations, as well as from government departments and other relevant public bodies. Prof Doherty spoke on the topic of ‘Social dialogue, collective bargaining and tripartism in Ireland’. Prof Doherty, who is currently on research sabbatical, has published widely on this topic, including his piece ‘It must have been love…but it's over now: the crisis and collapse of social partnership in Ireland’ published in Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research in 2011.
