We are 25km from Dublin city centre.

Take the M4 to junction 7 (signposted Maynooth/Straffan/Naas)
Follow the signs to Maynooth.
Turn left in the centre of the town (at the traffic lights)
The gates to the South campus are directly ahead of you (through another set of lights)
To reach the North Campus, turn right at this final set of lights
Keep left and use the filter lane to turn left next left
Go straight to the roundabout (Aldi will be to your left)
Turn right at the roundabout to enter the North campus

Parking

Campus parking is zoned (there are Staff zones, Student, zones and Pay and Display zones) and you will need the correct permit/ticket if you do not want to incur a penalty. Information and permits may be purchased on the Parking & Traffic Management website. It is important to stay informed as improperly parked vehicles may be clamped.

Parking is FREE for our Open Days - parking restrictions do not apply on Open Days

If you want to help save the planet (and save some money on fuel and parking) we operate a couple of car sharing schemes:

Car Sharing/Pooling

At present 44% of the cars commuting to campus are single occupant cars, and reducing the number of single occupant cars will greatly benefit all, through reduced travel costs, less carbon emissions, reduced traffic on the road, and the need for parking spaces.

GoCar

Go Car and Maynooth University campus opened a new Maynooth University GoBase where they offer staff and students an alternative car sharing option. More details here.

Taxi Driver Check (App)

Transport for Ireland’s Driver Check app allows you to check the licence details of the vehicle and driver and see a photo of the authorised driver. You are then able to forward these details (minus the photo) to a friend – this provides reassurance to taxi customers that they are travelling safely and that there is a record of their trip. The app covers licenced taxis, hackneys, limos and PSVs throughout Ireland. There is a history section that stores all of your searches.

The App is easy to use; all you have to do is launch it on your phone, and then input one of the following:

Ordinary vehicle registration number;
Vehicle licence number (displayed on roof-sign and on door signs);
Driver licence number (displayed on the ID card on the dashboard of the vehicle); or
Scan the QR code on the vehicle which is located on a disc on both the front and rear windscreens

The Taxi Driver Check App is available in the App Store (Apple) and the Play Store (Google).
