MIEC students racing during Fuzhou Sports Meeting

The forty-eighth sport meeting of Fuzhou university was held on 7th-8th November. Maynooth International Engineering College (MIEC) sent 26 boys and 13 girls to participate in the events over the course of the two days. Some MIEC results included winning gold in the men’s 800’s, bronze medals in the men’s discus throw and the men’s shot put, and the MIEC ladies coming in 5th place over the women’s 3000m race. Overall at the end of the competition, the MIEC ranked fifth in their group.
Meanwhile, the MIEC basketball team have been competing within the university league and have made great progress. The MIEC basketball team have reached the final of the university league. We wish all the students the best of luck in their upcoming game.
