As part of our celebration of the University as a literacy community, the Writing Centre and the Library will co-host the fourth charity ‘Read Aloud’ in the library.
At the Read Aloud members of staff and students will pay a modest amount (recommended €5) to read one or two pages aloud from ‘A Christmas Carol’; in this manner we will read aloud the entire work on the day.
All proceeds go to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
The final section of the book will be read at 2.00 pm after which we will serve mince pies and tea and coffee.
If you would like to read at this event please email writingcentre@mu.ie with ‘Read Aloud’ as the subject of your email and noting one hour slot, between 10.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. within which you would be willing to read for approximately five minutes
