‘Between Two Unions. The constitutional challenge in the UK and Ireland after Brexit’.
On Wednesday, 25 October 2017, The Maynooth Centre for European and Eurasian Studies hosts a seminar on ‘Between Two Unions. The constitutional challenge in the UK and Ireland after Brexit’. The Seminar will be led by Professor Michael Keating (University of Aberdeen) with responses from Dr. Etan Tannam (Trinity College Dublin) and Dr. Katy Hayward (Queen’s University, Belfast). These scholars will examine the constitutional and territorial complications presented by the Brexit vote for the United Kingdom and the European Union. In particular the session will emphazize the challenges which the devolved administrations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales face in the light of Brexit and how the complex changing constitutional architectures underpinning both unions impacts on politics and society.
