Maynooth University Summer Writing Institute
Maynooth University, in consultation with a number of teaching and learning networks, including Maynooth University Early Childhood, the Further Education Support Service, the Reading Association of Ireland and the Irish Network for the Enhancement of Writing, will host a week long writing institute on campus.

Smiths' Spells and a Medical Manuscript
Two public lectures to open the 2nd symposium on Charms and Magic in Medieval and Modern Ireland. Dr. John Carey (UCC) will speak about "The spells of smiths and related matters", and Dr. Aoibheann Nic Dhonnchadha will celebrate the 600th anniversary of Maynooth's oldest Gaelic manuscript, C 110.
