The Quiet Zone
Feedback from residents indicates that there is a demand for rooms which are designated as “quiet”. These rooms are geared towards students who wish to live in a quiet, study focused, low alcohol environment. Students will also be expected to keep a clean well organised apartment which will be facilitated by like minded roommates.
The Accommodation Office will make every effort to support and protect the ethos of The Quiet Zone. Breaches of the ethos will be monitored by the Quiet Zone residents, Security Officer on Duty out of hours and the Residence Office aided by the Residences Behaviour Committee. The rooms available within this Zone are Courtyard Single Ensuite and Rye single rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

Priority Quiet Zone: Approximately 50% of the available QZ rooms are reserved for Priority QZ students. Students who lived in the Quiet Zone (for a full academic year) previously, who abided by the ethos of the Zone and who express an interest again will be assessed for priority access to book a room provided there are sufficient rooms available. Please note that while those who are successfully selected to book a room will be guaranteed a room - room type availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
General Quiet Zone: Eligible applicants will be selected by random selection for the remaining Quiet Zone rooms.
