Spatial analysis techniques in agri-environmental policy making; limits and opportunities
Réamonn Fealy is currently studying for a PhD under the joint supervision of Professor Christopher Brunsdon, National Centre for Geocomputation, Maynooth University and Mr Martin Charlton, National Centre for Geocomputation, Maynooth University. The title of my thesis is "Spatial analysis techniques in agri-environmental policy making; limits and opportunities". My research focuses on the often complex interface between agriculture and the environment and the particular role of spatial analysis in the development of policy, assessment of risk and legislative aspects that arise in this domain. The Spatial Distribution of Welfare in Ireland
Paul Kilgarriff is currently studying for a PhD under the joint supervision of Mr Martin Charlton, National Centre for Geocomputation, Maynooth University, Dr Ronan Foley, Department of Geography, Maynooth University and Professor Cathal O'Donoghue, Head of Teagasc Rural Economy and Development Programme. The title of my thesis is "The Spatial Distribution of Welfare in Ireland" and my study comprises of elements from three disciplines; economics, geography and geocomputation. The objective of this thesis is to examine whether or not a relationship exists in Ireland between space (spatial area) and welfare (individual's ell-being). For more information please visit:
