Turn to Teaching has developed into a rich and diverse community which is committed to equality, diversity and widening participation in education and teaching.
At the core of our community are the participants who have been through our Foundation Certificate and the Rising Teacher, Rising Leader school outreach programme over the last couple of years.
Our committed and excellent tutor team are critically important to the work and we meet regularly as a community of practice to reflect and challenge ourselves as we continuously work towards enhancing the Foundation Cert.
As a cross-college team, we are also part of a wider Maynooth University community of practitioners from various education, administrative, access and student support departments.
We also have close partnerships with colleagues, schools, departments and institutions across all education sectors and wider society. We are continuously looking to invite people and organisations into this evolving and multi-dimensional community.
As our work is rooted in dialogic, critically reflexive and participative values and methods, the Turn to Teaching community is the space where the critical and transformative work is most often imagined and commenced.
