Within the system you can:

If you have symptoms or a diagnosis of Covid-19 please do not attend in person for your appointment. You can reschedule your appointment through the automated booking system (see above).
Further information regarding our opening hours and specific services will be posted on our Moodle page.
There are a range of resources available to you on our Moodle page, including essay writing resources and grammar and punctuation guides.
How can I book a session with AWS?
Our one-to-ones, AES, and Doctoral Writing Group sessions can be booked through our Student Skills Connect platform.
When should I book an appointment with AWS?
When you feel that you would benefit from visiting us. If in doubt, book in with us.
Should I take a few more days to polish my work before bringing it to you?
Why not come in earlier to us and get advice on how best to polish your work in the same time frame?
What if I don’t know where to start with an assignment?
No problem; we have many resources to get you going.
I am really close to getting a First in my assignments. Can you help?
We can’t guarantee that you will get a First in your assignments, but we can work with you to address feedback that your lecturers and tutors might have suggested needs looking at.
Can you proofread my work?
Unfortunately, not. However, we can provide you with strategies to help you proofread your work.
Can you help with my referencing?
We can talk through what makes a good source and then bring it into your essay, but our colleagues in the Library have dedicated resources on how to reference correctly.
How can I get in touch with you?
You can email us at [email protected] or send us a quick query through the Students Skills Connect platform.
