About
Dr Gavin McArdle is a lecturer in the UCD School of Computer Science and Informatics. Dr Gavin McArdle received his PhD from University College Dublin. He was a Science Foundation Ireland funded Research Fellow at IBM where he was researching new techniques for understanding and managing smart cities. He is also Research Associate with the following two institutions; the National Centre for Geocomputation (NCG) and The Programmable City Project. His research focus includes e-learning interfaces, interface personalisation, location-based services, user profiling, geovisual analysis, smart city technology and urban dynamics.
