Biography

Sinéad Matson is a post doctoral researcher in the Department of Adult and Community Education. She is currently working on the Erasmus+ funded TUTOR projectSinéad has worked across a number of areas in Education such as early childhood education and care, Montessori primary school, second level teacher training, and further and higher education. As such, her research interests lie in de-colonising childhoods, methodologies for equitable and ethical research with children, and diversity and inclusion. 

Sinéad has also spent many years project managing, designing, and writing educational programmes and curricula that have been validated by QQI in various third level institutions. Her current post-doctoral role also involves designing and writing continuous professional development courses in inclusive education for second level teachers and further education educators in partnership with European partners based on the data collected in the project.
