Dr Maria Helen Murphy took the temperature at the Web Summit this week in an effort to assess how the tech industry plans to address developing privacy challenges.
In The Journal, Maria discusses how data protection and security issues were frequently discussed at the Web Summit and identifies some green shoots of privacy awareness among the start-up exhibition stands that lined the RDS during the week.

Maria discusses issues related to privacy and data protection in several of her courses at Maynooth University Department of Law, including her course in Information Privacy Law which is offered to LLM (Global Legal Studies) and LLM (International Business Law) students.
