Prof Doherty participates in Future of Collective Bargaining Seminar

Prof Michael Doherty was invited to speak at a panel discussion on the Future of Collective Bargaining on Thursday 13 June 2024 in Dublin. The panel included two of the key architects of the Adequate Minimum Wage Directive, Agnes Jongerius (former) MEP S&D Group, and Dennis Radtke EPP Coordinator of the EMPL Committee (IG BCE), as well as Prof John Geary (UCD), Ethel Buckly (SIPTU), and ICTU General Secretary, Owen Reidy.
 
Prof Doherty’s paper on the Directive’s upcoming transposition in Ireland, “Make me good…just not yet? Ireland and the Adequate Minimum Wage Directive”, which will shortly be published in an academic journal.
 
Prof Doherty is a Full Professor of Law at Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology where he teaches Employment Law and Introduction to Law to BCL/ LLB students.
