The Rape Crisis Centre offer a free confidential, listening and support service for women and men who have been raped, sexually assaulted, sexually harassed or sexually abused at any time in their lives.
They also take calls from anyone who wishes to talk about the effects of sexual violence.
Their telephone counsellors are available to listen 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, taking calls on their free phone number from anywhere in Ireland.
All the counsellors in the Rape Crisis Centre are aware it can be difficult and takes courage to make contact for the first time. Be assured that every caller to their helpline is treated as an individual, with respect and dignity, and given the time and understanding they need to get the help and support they deserve. Repeat callers are also welcome.
You can contact the Rape Crisis Centre counselling department on their National Helpline 1800 77 8888 or email [email protected].
You may wish to connect with the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda Hospital. The contact details and information about the supports and services can be found at SATU .
