Maynooth University Postgraduate Scholarships

The University offers a number of postgraduate scholarships for students pursuing Master's and Ph.D. degrees.

The types of scholarships available are

Taught Master's €2,000 Scholarships
John and Pat Hume Doctoral Awards (various funding levels, from fee waiver to full stipend, fees and expenses)
Taught Master's Alumni Scholarships (€5,000 scholarship towards fees for a full-time Taught Masters programme at MU)
Postgraduate Teaching Studentships (These are offered through the departments. More details below)

External Funding Opportunities

A number of organizations provide grants and fellowships for postgraduate and postdoctoral work.

The Irish Research Council (IRC) has grants for postgraduate students and for postdoctoral fellows, notably the Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship, and the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship.
The European Union's Horizon 2020 Programme offers funding for postdoctoral researchers, particularly through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships .
