Language Scheme

D’iarr an tAire Ealaíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta ar Ollscoil Mhá Nuad scéim teanga a ullmhú faoi réir Alt 11 d’Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003. Tá sé mar chuspóir leis an scéim teanga méadú a dhéanamh ar líon agus ar chaighdeán na seirbhísí Gaeilge atá ar fáil ó Ollscoil Mhá Nuad thar thréimhse ama. Tá forálacha na scéime comhaontaithe ag Ollscoil Mhá Nuad agus an Roinn Ealaíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta. Thug Ollscoil Mhá Nuad gealltanais sa scéim maidir leis na seirbhísí a bheidh á gcur ar fáil acu i nGaeilge nó go dátheangach. Tá feidhm reachtúil leis na gealltanais sin.

The Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht requested that Maynooth University prepare a language scheme under Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. The purpose of the language scheme is to increase over a period of time the volume and standard of services available in Irish from Maynooth University. Maynooth University and the Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht have agreed the provisions of the scheme. Maynooth University has given commitments in the scheme regarding the services it will provide in Irish or bilingually. The commitments have statutory effect.
