Finish Strong & Be September Ready
As we approach the end of the 1st year of your study here in Maynooth, we want to ensure that you finish as strongly as possible and begin the preparation for your 2nd year of study whatever that might look like.
The Be September Ready Campaign, which will run from the end of April until October, is aimed at preparing you for your end-of-year exams, making sense of your results and what it might mean for your programme of study next year as well as promoting your well-being.
The programme includes:
- Talks from the Programme Advisory Office that get you thinking about your 2nd Year choices such as Subject Choices, Transfer Options, Understanding Exam Results and promoting Careers and Teaching options for 2nd year
Check out the Programme Advisory Office webpage for all the information under the heading First Year: #BeSeptemberReady Resources for your second year;
- Relaxation and Yoga Classes, Well-being Workshops and exploring the various online supports;
- Exam Results Information Centre to help you with any queries about your exam results and what they mean for your programme of study moving forward; This support will be available to students from 1pm Friday 28th June until Friday 2nd August;
- Explore our “Finish Strong and Be September Ready” module which is now available on moodle as part of the 1st Year Online Orientation Programme;
- Exploring your Study Abroad Options;
- and many more events / information sessions over the coming months.
And remember, University supports do not stop at the end of the academic year. We're here right through the summer and the transition back to class in September. Across the period there will be sessions on what your exams results mean and options in your academic programme. We’ll also help you develop writing impactful CVs and cover letters to apply for your dream summer job or placement.
