ALL Institute Member Dr. Emma Smith recently gave an Invited Lecture on Assistive Technology and Human Rights as part of the University of Manitoba’s Illuminate Speaker Series. Dr. Smith described how assistive technology is critical to the realization of human rights for persons with disabilities. - Persons with disabilities have the same rights as people who currently do not have disabilities.
- In a society which has agreed on those rights, it is our responsibility to ensure they are realized.
