This event includes a presentation by Dr. Paul Fagan, of his Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Project, 'Celibacy in Irish Women's Writing, 1860–1950s'. The paper will discuss the project’s main subjects (Frances Power Cobbe, Ethel Colburn Mayne, Elizabeth Bowen, Kate O’Brien, Teresa Deevy) and findings to date.
Dr. Fagan will also launch the project’s website and podcast series which accompanies the monograph he is preparing.
