    How long is the conferring ceremony?

    The ceremony usually lasts approximately 1 hour.

    Where can I view my ceremony?

    Each ceremony will be broadcast live at the scheduled time. The link will be available in a designated section on the Conferring website on the week of ceremonies. Live streams are available to view up to 48 hours after the event takes place. 

    When will I receive my degree parchment?

    If you attend your ceremony, you will receive your parchment on the day.

    If you are conferred In Absentia, you will receive your parchment within 3 weeks of the date of your ceremony. Your degree parchment will be posted to you in a cardboard tube. 

    How do I order a copy of my degree parchment in English?

    After your conferring ceremony, you can order a copy of your parchment in English by downloading the order form from NUI.
    This form should be returned directly to the NUI. 
    The cost is €50 per parchment.

    How do I obtain a copy of my degree parchment in Latin?

    After your ceremony, you can order a copy of your parchment in Latin by downloading the order form from NUI at http://www.nui.ie/services/document-services.asp.
    This form should be returned directly to the NUI. 
    The cost is €50 per parchment.

     

    What language is my degree parchment written in?

    Your degree parchment is written in Latin. For details on how to order your parchment in English (after your conferring ceremony has taken place), please click here.

    I am taking Autumn Supplemental/Resit examinations. When will I graduate?

    Students sitting Autumn Supplemental/Resit examinations will graduate at our October/November conferring ceremonies.

    What are Prizes and Awards?

    The Maynooth University Prizes and Awards promote academic excellence and reward achievements. 
     
    All awardees receive details of their prize for the academic year from the Conferring Office, which congratulates them on their achievement. In due course, your prize title will be added to your transcript.
