Training
The Committee encourage staff and students to become informed about EDI principles through training facilitated by the University. Training opportunities are now highlighted in student handbook materials and circulated to staff annually to encourage participation. 

FSE EDI Culture Seminar events
In order to elevate awareness of various EDI topics, the Committee hosts Culture Seminars which are open for staff and students to attend.

Promotion of EDI activity during Science Week
The Faculty EDI committee has engaged with the public at Science Night events in Maynooth University. As a part of these efforts, the “See It To Become It” slideshow showcased leaders in STEM fields who represent various aspects of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

EDI Champions
Representatives from the Committees have undertaken training which allows for effective implementation of EDI policies across the Faculty. EDI champions are aware of University EDI policies and are someone who you can approach about EDI activities and initiatives. They are empowered as active bystanders and can often signpost relevant supports and pathways.
