Dr Jahan Zeb Gul

Biography

Dr. Jahan Zeb Gul is an Assistant Professor in Robotics and AI in the Department of Electronic Engineering. He completed his BS in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering from UET Taxila, Pakistan, in 2013, and pursued an MS leading to a PhD from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Jeju National University, South Korea, under a fully funded scholarship. His research focuses on Soft Robotics, Embedded AI, Soft Sensors/Actuators, and Biomedical Devices. Dr. Jahan Zeb integrates machine learning techniques to enhance the functionality and adaptability of soft robotic systems, aiming to revolutionize the field of medical devices and automated systems. His work is at the intersection of AI and robotics, where he develops intelligent systems that can adapt to complex, dynamic environments. Dr. Jahan Zeb has completed over 100 international certifications from prestigious institutions in AI, Robotics, and Engineering, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He is an active reviewer for several well-recognized research journals and has published multiple journal and conference papers, boasting a cumulative impact factor of over 100 and more than 1000 citations. He has also undergone research fund reviewer training from Coventry University, UK, and serves as an external reviewer for Swiss research grants, the Pakistan Science Foundation, and Higher Education Pakistan. Dr. Jahan Zeb has reviewed more than 50 funding proposals and has successfully secured funding as a Principal Investigator from various organizations, including the Pakistan Science Foundation, the National Centre of Robotics and Automation (NCRA), and the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) in Pakistan.
