Dr Fergus Ryan of Maynooth University Department of Law was quoted in The Irish Times, on the differences between civil partnership and marriage.
Dr Ryan has written extensively on this topic and is the author of a text on civil partnership. In the article by Ruadhán MacCormaic, the similarities and differences between marriage and civil partnership are highlighted, including differences in constitutional recognition and in the dissolution rules. The article, which appeared in the Times on Saturday, 9 May, can be viewed online.
Dr Ryan lectures in Family Law on the LLB and in Marriage and the Law and Gender, Sexuality and the Law on the LLM (Global Legal Studies).
