CoCoA: Co-create, Collaborate Activate – Advancing Computational Thinking Education is a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Discover Programme funded project of which promotes STEM subjects in primary and secondary schools.
The proposed follow-up project will build upon the successful process of co-creation developed during CoCoA I, bringing our co-created materials via new avenues to reach a wider spectrum of society from sports clubs to nursing homes.

Introducing the Science of Problem-solving through Education in Computational Thinking

Introducing the Science of Problem-solving through Education in Computational Thinking (InSPECT) is a project which specifically targets audiences in socially, economically or educationally disadvantaged areas of limited or no STEM intervention. In particular, InSPECT will engage with DEIS schools in the nine counties identified by SFI as having limited or no STEM intervention. There are 450 DEIS schools in these nine counties with 346 primary schools and 104 secondary schools ( https://goo.gl/oToa7w ) with over 100,000 students in these schools.
