About the office

The Maynooth University International Office supports over 1000 students of different nationalities and cultures, and facilitates the applications of international undergraduate and postgraduate students from outside of the European Union to study at the University. In addition the Office coordinates and provides support to approximately 600 visiting students from North America and the European Union each year, while also encouraging all current Maynooth students to incorporate a period of study or work placement abroad into their degree.

The International Office is the first point of contact for all incoming international students and provides information to students with regard to visas, immigration, study abroad programmes,  on-campus services, and much more. The Office can also provide support and cultural information for the local area, such as where to find the local Asian food market, or the nearest religious services, or help with integration into Irish society.  The International Office team work together with the academic departments and support services across the University to ensure all students have an enjoyable and beneficial experience of studying at the university.

The International Office also collaborates with universities, research institutes, and industry partners on all continents, to internationalize teaching, research, work placement, and student and academic mobility opportunities.

The International Office is located on the top floor of Humanity House on the South Campus.
