Widen your search area
Maynooth University is well connected by road, rail and bus. You should widen your search to neighbouring towns and areas along key commuter lines.
For example the Maynooth - Dublin train route travels through Leixlip, Clonsilla, Coolmine, Castleknock, Ashtown, Broombridge, Drumcondra to Dublin Connolly train station. The Luas (tram) network connects with the train line at Connolly station.
Dublin Bus number C4 route travels through Celbridge, Lucan, Palmerstown to Tara Street in Dublin city centre.
Kilcock, to the west of Maynooth, is served by Bus Eireann and Irish rail plus there is a direct cycle lane along the canal to Maynooth.

Tips for one-semester students
Finding accomodation for one semester only can be tricky. As well as trying the tips above here are some options:
You can contact landlords via Studentpad who are looking to rent for the full year, as they may consider single-semester students if it's getting closer to September and they still haven't found anyone to rent from them.
If you know someone else who is coming from your home university for the second semester, you may be able make arrangements with a landlord, i.e. you rent the room for the first semester and then the person from your home university moves into it in the second semester.
