The best option to get directly to your address on arrival is to take a taxi from Dublin Airport. Follow the Taxi signs at the Arrivals Hall which will bring you to the taxi rank. You will find information on Irish taxi fares here: https://www.transportforireland.ie/fares/taxi-fares/ Please have the full address of your accommodation available.
In Ireland we use a postcode system called Eircode (pronounced Air-code). These are different from postal codes in other countries as, unlike other postcode systems, our postal codes identify the postal address of a specific property, it does not identify a cluster of addresses within an area. Each house/apartment/building in Ireland has a unique Eircode. It would be useful to have this for your study address in advance, if possible. It is also useful to find out the Eircode of various buildings you will visit during your time here as they can be used in Google Maps to find exact directions. You can find more infomation on Eircode here: http://www.eircode.ie
For example the Eircode for Humanity House, the building that the International Office is located in, is W23 X021. The Eircode for Student Residences Reception is W23 C6T0.
