In weeks 8 and 10, these will run on a walk-in basis in Training Room D in the Library, no booking required. In week 9, we will run online versions of the sessions, and you can register here to book these and receive the Teams link:https://bit.ly/48cx2F1 All sessions run from 1:30pm–2pm.
Session 1: Troubleshooting Your Referencing & Citing Issues
Having trouble getting to grips with doing your citing and referencing for your essays or assignments? In our Referencing sessions, you can troubleshoot any referencing and citing problems. Whether you are using footnotes or in-text citation, Harvard or Chicago or another referencing style, we can help you with any questions or uncertainties you are facing. Drop into the Library in person on the 19th November or 3rd December, or join us online on the 28th November. Register for the online session here: https://bit.ly/3Y8LrgH
Session 2: Using EndNote – Reference Management Software
In our EndNote sessions Discover how to use EndNote Reference Management Software to store your references (and the full PDFs) in your own EndNote Library. Use these references to generate in-text citations, footnotes and bibliographies in a variety of styles for your research papers. Using reference management tools is a great way to organise and group your references, cite while you write, and create bibliographies, which saves you a lot of time in the research process! There will also be time for Q&As at the end if you've been having any difficulties with Endnote. Register for the online session here: https://bit.ly/4f44ZcU
We recommend that students download EndNote desktop prior to the EndNote clinic - details on how to download are available here. We have recorded training sessions on EndNote in our Reference Management Software guide to get you started: https://nuim.libguides.com/ReferenceManagementSoftware/EndNote20.
