'Sing Your Art Out' at The Big Sing
One of our aims for the 2025 festival, our fourth and largest to date, is to engage with and involve our Kildare community in the heart of the Festival.
Arts and Minds has invited neighbouring choirs to a free choral workshop on Saturday, 10th May. Working with the newly appointed MU Chamber Choir Artistic Director Michael T. Dawson, the inaugural 'Sing Your Art Out' will include workshops on healthy singing during which the choirs will be divided into sectionals and taught two songs which will then be performed as a single choir at 5pm in the Aula Maxima (#29 on campus map) in The Big Sing.
The choirs will also have individual opportunities in the Aula to perform two pieces from their own repertoires.
All are welcome to enjoy this free (but registration is necessary on Eventbrite) event which is sure to appeal to all musical tastes. Engaging performances suitable for all ages are in store.
