we are pleased to share the names of three of our current students and a recent graduate, who recently represented the University at a National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning Seminar in Trinity College Dublin: https://www.teachingandlearning.ie/event/learning-from-student-success-barriers-and-facilitators/. The event was attended by students and staff from UL, UCC, DCU, Trinity and Maynooth University. The four representatives below presented and discussed what Student Success means to them as final year students and a recent graduate. • Rachel Dolan, BCL Law & English • Thomas Cunningham, Early Childhood and Primary Education Froebel • Pablo Armas Sanchez, MA Sociology: Society & Internet • Majella Connolly, recent graduate MA Sociology: Societies in Transition Rachel and Tommy contributed to the student panel discussion. Tommy’s passion for his course and his love of learning was noted by both the panel chair and the other attendees. Pablo and Majella both shared their experiences of their UG and PG programmes, and described their time at Maynooth as life-changing. Majella received a round of applause that was twice as long as everyone else’s on the day for her inspirational talk. The students and Majella were excellent ambassadors for their departments, the University support services, in particular MAP, and the institution as a whole.
