January 31st marked the final day of the tenure of Prof. Denise Rooney and Prof. Frances Heaney in their role of Head of Dept and Assistant Head of Dept of Chemistry, respectively. They undertook their roles just two weeks befor the first Covid-19 lockdown was enforced. In extremely challenging times, they tackled their roles with vigour, enthusiasm and lots of new ideas in order to keep the Department moving forward. They have passed the baton onto Dr. Diego Montagner and Dr. Eithne Dempsey respectively. We wish you continued success in your new roles.
