The Maynooth University Access Programme is proud to launch the College Connect programme, an initiative funded by the HEA through the Programme for Access to Higher Education - PATH 3.
College Connect is a 3 year programme, led by Maynooth University, supporting access and widening participation of groups under-represented in higher education in the MEND cluster, covering the Midlands, East, and North Dublin region. The cluster is made up of Athlone Institute of Technology, Dublin City University, Dundalk Institute of Technology, and Maynooth University.
The College Connect programme proposal was developed by staff across the University including the Access Office, the Department of Adult and Community Education, the Education Department, AIRO, and the ALL Institute as well as staff from the other HEI's in the region. The programme was awarded funding of €2.167 million as part of a competitive national application process.
The launch of this ambitious and innovative programme takes place in Maynooth University on Thursday, 17th October at 1pm in Renehan Hall. Lunch will be provided at 1pm, followed by the launch. The launch will be attended by Dr. Gemma Irvine, Vice-President for Equality and Diversity.
