On Thursday 18/04/2024 the project came to a close and the students showcased their final designs to the Trulife R&D team with an impressive design exhibition. It was incredible to witness the accomplishments of our second year students engaging in this industry partnership. The outcomes showcased at the exhibition were nothing short of impressive. Each project demonstrated not only the students' creativity and technical skills but also their deep understanding of real-world challenges and their ability to innovate solutions for the Medical Industry. Congratulations to all involved for the remarkable achievements, and a special congratulations to Leonorah Carty Joyce, Adam Fleming, and Fintan Hughes, the overall prize winners for the top design!
This collaboration would not have been possible without the dedicated support of Trulife R&D engineer, Caoimhe Galligan, who's expertise has been invaluable in guiding students to design for the medical industry. Our special thanks to Trulife representatives Eoin Redmond and Elle Coughlan for taking the time to talk with our students about their work and judge the competition.
"This student collaboration with Trulife exemplifies the significance of students gaining industry experience early. The project outcomes showcase the high standard of design achievable when academia and industry join forces. " - Caoimhe, Trulife R&D Engineer
