Inclusive Teaching and Learning was the theme for a recent session in the Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Tutors and Demonstrators (CTL1X) on Wednesday 10th April with local input from Leah Kane (MAP) and CTL colleagues, and a global perspective from Dr Frederic Fovet of Thompson Rivers University.
Dr Fovet, an international expert in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) contributed on that topic as contextualised in inclusive higher education. Dr Hanratty (CTL) commented that 'it was so valuable to have insights from an international perspective on the use of UDL, as well as on local projects such as MU-UDL & U and Maynooth University Inclusive Learning Online (MILO)'. Dr Hanratty thanked Dr Margaret Flood (Maynooth University Department of Education) for her work in organising Dr Fovet's contribution.
This semester CTL is working with the UDL T&L Fellows on the 'MU - UDL & U' Resource Hub and Campaign which runs until 1 May 2024. Details about the campaign are available here or by emailing [email protected]
