Geography Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity Event

Dr Gemma Irvine, Vice-President for Equality and Diversity will talk about Athena Swan in Maynooth University

Dr Gemma Irvine is currently Vice-President of Equality & Diversity in Maynooth University with responsibility for leading strategic change in the areas of equality, diversity, inclusion and inter-culturalism across the entire University community, students and staff.  Dr Irvine also has oversight of the expansion and enhancement of access and widening participation programmes to ensure the University is inclusive for all students. 
 

Dr Aziz Mohibbi is an Fellow of the Institute of International Education Scholar Rescue Fund in Maynooth University. He is a former Chancellor of Bamyan University in Afghanistan, and former Deputy Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Kabul University, Afghanistan. One focus of his work lies in higher education development, particularly in supporting women and those facing educational barriers in Afghanistan.
