Join us for our upcoming workshop on public geographies and activism with Prof. Don Mitchell in partnership with the Geographical Society of IrelandPostgraduate & Early Career Network.
Don Mitchell is one of the most influential contemporary cultural geographers and has long been at the forefront of scholarship on intersections of capital, nature and labour. His interests in geography are broad, but are tied together by a commitment to historical-materialist analyses, and strong focus on understanding the political-economic determinants of landscapes, cultures and urban public spaces. In this participatory workshop, Prof. Mitchell will lead students in an interactive discussion about activism, the role of the university, and public geographies.
A light lunch will be provided from approximately 12:30 and participants are encouraged to continue the discussion with Prof. Mitchell in this informal space.
