Speaker: Dr Catriona Kennedy is Reader at the Department of History and Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies, University of York.
 
Catriona Kennedy is author of Narratives of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars: military and civilian experience in Britain and Ireland (Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan, 2013). Themes she has explored in her publications include Gender and British and Irish history in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries; Gender, memory and mourning in Irish nationalist culture, c.1798-1848, and Irish Catholic soldiers in the British army during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars.
