The main objective of Action Planning Networks is to improve the capacity of European cities to manage sustainable urban policies and, more especially, to strengthen their ability to design integrated strategies for sustainable urban development. By taking part in an Action Planning Network cities exchange and share experiences, problems and possible solutions, and generate new ideas to address challenges related to sustainable urban development.

To facilitate a search for partner(s), a platform is available where potential applicants can post their project ideas and contact details. Whether you are willing to lead a network on a specific policy issue and are looking for partners, or you are interested in getting involved in a network proposal led by another city, you are strongly advised to post your information online and/or browse posted proposals as soon as possible.

In addition, the URBACT III City Festival (an opportunity to network and learn more about URBACT III calls) will take place in Riga from 6th- 8th May 2015. If you are intending to submit an application you may wish to attend this event as part of your networking (but of course attendance is not mandatory!).
