MU students take lead in national road safety campaign
Three postgraduate students from Maynooth University (MU) have won the overall prize in an Garda Síochána’s Road Safety Reimagined campaign, highlighting the dangers of drug driving.

Consultation Days - Department of Geography
The Geography Department will be holding a consultation day for students to call in and discuss/review aspects of their 2014-15 examination performances on Tuesday 30th June. A number of Geography staff will be available for discussion on that day between 9.30 and 1.00 in the morning and between 2.00 and 4.30 in the afternoon. If students are not able to call into the Department on that day, they should make use of the second Departmental consultation day on the 10th July.

Raid on Gas Field ends in Disaster
Following heavy casualties from a disastrous Federal Special Forces gas field assault, the near total collapse of the Colbanstown Agreement, widespread ethnic violence and a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation, international pressure has prevailed on the parties to accept an EU high level mediation to avoid a doomsday situation. The EU Mediation team will arrive at the Maynooth University campus on Monday to commence the negotiation with the parties. (... from the simulated scenario for next week's CSDP Mediation Course.)

Online Technologies and Dispute Resolution
The Kennedy Institute Seminar on online technology in dispute resolutionon on Friday last was a great success. Daniel Rainey of the US National Mediation Board and Dr Leah Wing, University of Massachusetts/Amherst (USA) were the leading contributors. The seminar was held at the National University of Ireland, 49 Merrion Square, Dublin, in association with the Mediators Institute of Ireland
