Beginning at 10am on Saturday, 6 May with further sessions taking place thereafter at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm, we're delighted to give festival attendees the opportunity to experience virtual opera.
Each session, which can accommodate a maximum of six participants, will begin sharp on the hour (we will need to give participants guidance and instruction so to be fair to all, we're unable to admit latecomers). Wearing virtual reality headsets over the course of an 18-minute experience, participants will enjoy the magic of this wonderful virtual reality community opera.
Out of the Ordinary was written by composer Finola Merivale and librettist Jody O’Neill working with director Jo Mangan and students from rural Ireland and communities from Inis Meáin, Tallaght and South Dublin. More information is available here.
