Maynooth University has retained its position in the top 90 global Young University Rankings.
Maynooth University is named as one of the top three Young Universities in Ireland, placing at 86th globally in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) rankings.
THE Young University rankings are based on a range of criteria including research income achieved; reputation for teaching and research; numbers of PhDs awarded; the number of quality scholarly papers and citations from staff, and numbers of international staff and students.
An additional 68 universities participated in the rankings this year, increasing from 605 to 673 universities globally.
Commenting on the rankings today, President of Maynooth University, Professor Eeva Leinonen said:
"We are delighted to see Maynooth University once again among the top young universities in the world, placing at 86th globally. This is a testament to the hard work of all across our University and a valuable indicator of our commitment to constant innovation, the global reputation of our research and quality of our teaching."
