The Department of Sociology, Maynooth University welcome the launch of the All-Island Social Security Network at Ulster University Belfast Campus on Wednesday, 6 December 2023. Professor Mary Murphy attended and spoke at the launch: All-Island Social Security Network: Social Security on the Island of Ireland: Current Challenges and Future Opportunities (ulster.ac.uk).
The All-Island Social Security Network was set up in May 2023 to bring “together researchers to imagine a new future for social security on the island of Ireland.” The network brings together researchers from academia and civil society to examine, understand, map-out, explore, disseminate, consider, share and promote knowledge and understanding about the social security system in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
