Recent Research Activities

Here are some highlights of the recent research activities undertaken by our staff over the past few months.

•    Professor Ann O’Shea participated in:

-    The London Mathematical Society workshop on Threshold Concepts in Mathematics which was held at Queen Mary University of London in May 2024.  She was part of the organising committee, and she gave a talk also. About 40 mathematicians from all over the UK attended.

-    The INDRUM conference at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in June 2024. INDRUM stands for International Network for Didactical Research in Undergraduate Mathematics. She gave a talk at the conference and participated in two working groups.

•    Dr Detta Dickinson participated in the conference Diophantine approximation, Fractal Geometry and Related Topics in Paris June 2024.
