Royal Historical Society elects Yvette Campbell as new Associate Fellow

The UK's foremost society promoting the scholarly study of the past has elected Assistant Librarian Yvette Campbell as its newest Associate Fellow. Yvette was among 58 new Associate Fellows, elevated by the Royal Historical Society in October 2024.

A learned society founded by Royal Charter in 1868, The Royal Historical Society champions historical scholarship in schools, higher education, and across the heritage sector. Associate Fellowship of the Society is awarded in recognition of contributions to the field of History and the potential to conduct significant research in future.

Yvette was recognised for her work in Special Collections & Archives at Maynooth in the cataloguing and discovery of the historical collections of the Russell Library, St. Patrick's Pontifical University and Maynooth University including current research examining the role of rare book cataloguers  in the 21st century.
