The ELSA Maynooth International Negotiation Competition 2015 has been selected as a finalist for the Board of Irish College Societies very first Intervarsity Award!
Maynooth University Department of Law is very pleased to share the news that one of our student-led events has been nominated for a national award, recognising the dedication and hard work of the students on the ELSA Maynooth committee.
The Competition saw 44 students from across Europe and further afield compete against each other in an intense, two-day negotiation competition for the prize of €500, which was ultimately claimed by a team representing the National Law School of India University.
The Department of Law was a key sponsor of the Competition because we emphasise progressive, practical learning methods which reflect the growing global nature of the legal profession.
The Awards ceremony will take place in Athlone on 16 April 2015 and our Suzanne Scott (Head of the Organising Committee for the Competition and LLM (Global Legal Studies) student) and Gráinne Keeling (President of ELSA Maynooth and final year LLB student) will represent the society.
We wish them the very best of luck!
All three finalists can be viewed on the BICS website.
