One of our current undergraduate students - Niamh Doody (3rd year BSc) - and a 2015 graduate, Aoife Fitzpatrick - have both been highly commended and shortlisted in the final of the Undergraduate Awards 2016. This competition attracted 5,514 submissions from students in 243 universities across 40 countries and both papers performed in the top 10% of submissions received in the ‘Psychology’ category after being assessed by a panel of academics from universities around the world.
The title of Niamh’s paper was ‘An Evaluation of two statements made by Howe (1997, pp., 162-163) with regards to intelligence" (paper supervisor Dr Sinéad McGilloway), whilst the title of Aoife’s paper was ‘An Investigation of Motor Simulation during Comprehension of Gestures and Words".
